Mokume Gane Rings
Mokume Gane is essentially metal with a wood grain pattern.

This metal with a wood grain pattern is not, in fact, titanium. Rather, it is most commonly inlaid within a channel of the titanium ring.

Two different colored, and compatible, metals or are used, and carved anf forged to create the particular patterning. The technique dates back to 17th century Japan, the brainchild of Denbei Shoami, with roots in the sword making tradition.
